What to check

Media
Give the chemical, concentration and temperature so wetted materials can be checked.
Stem sealing
For toxic or valuable media, a bellows seal stops stem leakage.
Fire-safe
On flammable service, specify fire-safe certification.
Seal elastomer
Match pump seal elastomers to the fluid and temperature.
